30 July 1996                  Software release notes

Boiler Controller BV2q (BD2q)

Unless specifically excluded all features apply to both versions.

  1. Improve update rate on MaxTrim output to keep in sync with the zone which is demanding most heat.
  2. Correct the default number of boiler config variables displayed on a zone controller to include MODE, the default is for MODE =1.
  3. Speed up detection of missing nodes. On a 100 zone system the maximum time needed to detect a missing or failed node is 3 minutes.
  4. Registration support added for
  1. VT version only, output driver types added to provide different sequence types.

  1. Boiler cascade module support added, the state of the cascade module 'boiler disable' or 'boiler lockout' signal is read and the effected boiler removed from the sequence. The boiler is automatically reinstated when the condition is cleared.
  2. New config variable 'all remote' AREM added. When set to 1 this causes the Boiler controller to sequence only those boilers connected using cascade boiler controllers, thus 'lockout' monitoring can be used on all boilers.
  3. When cascade modules are registered with a boiler controller the 'number of boilers' is incremented to take account of the new boilers connected. If an odd number of boilers are in use the config variable BLRS needs to be changed to reflect this.
  1. read only config variable has been added, BLOK 'boilers OK' this reports how many boilers are available for use by the sequencer.
  2. Support for Pump Changeover(PCO) modules added. The boiler controller can have up to 3 Pump Changeover modules registered with it, the TYPE config variable in the PCO module needs to be set up to define the function of the pump under control. The types are mapped for the two boiler controller versions as follows

PCO TYPE

BLR-VT

BLR-DHW

2
